In Term 4 of 2026, we were able to purchase a range of new play and outdoor equipment for Foundation.

This included a selection of new ride-ons, raised water trays, and over a ton of play sand for the Reception playground. In addition, artist easels, play prams, and new dolls were added to their indoor classroom play areas.

In 2026, we purchased new seating benches for the school Forest Learning area, along with several additions to the equipment. These included binocular sets, pestle and mortars, a rope fabric swing, and den-making clips and tarpaulin mats.

In Terms 3 and 4 this year, the PTA funded a selection of workshops led by poet James Carter and The Doodlebug, Ian Brealey.

James Carter’s workshops and assemblies are designed to spark enthusiasm for poetry, reading, writing, and performance, while Ian Brealey’s sessions focus on combining Art, Maths, and Growth Mindset principles in his creative sessions. 

We received fantastic feedback from students, teachers, and parents about these enriching experiences for the children at Charlton, and we are delighted to have supported the school by funding these inspirational visits. 

From our £800 raised at 'Hop into Spring' 2025, we were able to purchase a number of new outdoor play items for Acorns Preschool, including the following:-

-Set of Creative Crates

-Outdoor Chalkboard 

-Outdoor Scales

-New Sink for the Outdoor Cottage 

-Lots & Lots of Play Sand!

In December 2024, the PTA reached our goal to raise £15,000 to fund 34 new school laptops, which were purchased in January this year. 

M & M Productions will be returning again in Summer 2025 to deliver another fantastic theatre experience for the whole school. The PTA have subsidised 50% of the cost. Bravo! Encore!

In 2023 the PTA funded £16k worth of new play equipment for the school playground.
